We are proud to announce that Omid Alizehi, the young lead actor of Everything is the Fault of the Wind, has been awarded Best Actor at the 2025 Nova Frontier Film Festival, held from June 7–9 in New York City.

Directed by Shaghayegh Majidi, the film had its U.S. premiere at Nova Frontier, where Omid’s heartfelt and powerful performance was met with great admiration. Everything is the Fault of the Wind tells the story of Omid, a child laborer whose world shifts dramatically after discovering his mother’s secret life—pushing him toward drug trafficking in a desperate act of protection and survival.

This recognition is a remarkable milestone for Omid and a testament to the raw honesty and emotional depth he brought to the role. We extend our warmest congratulations to him and the entire creative team behind the film.
