Synopsis
Mrs. Ajami and her 17-year-old daughter, Arezou, are forced to move in the middle of the school year, and Arezou has to attend a new school. Mrs. Ajami, who is the vice-principal of the high school where Arezou is enrolled, always strives for her daughter to be the best and believes that she always makes the right decisions for her life. However, Arezou is unhappy and wants to live life her own way. When Mrs. Ajami realizes that Arezou did not complete her math Olympiad paper compared to the top student in the school, she alters Arezou’s paper. On the day of the results, Arezou is announced as the top student, but she knows she has left her paper blank and that her mother tampered with it. She reveals this to the other students and teachers. This story depicts the generational conflict, parental pressures, and the struggle to find personal identity and independence.
