“For the Second Time” the short fiction film directed by Leila Akhbari, is selected for the competition section of the 10th Cinema in Sneakers Film Festival for Childrean and Youth!

The festival which will take place between May 23rd and June 05th, in Warsaw, Poland, presents a broad spectrum of the latest unique films and new media works from around the world directed at the young audience. Its purpose is to increase kids’ interest in the film industry.

“For the Second Time” is about Sareh, is a school girl who lives in a religious family and loves acting but her family does not allow her to become an actress. She prepares herself for a student theater festival secretly and nothing can stop her…

Leila Akhbari was born in 1996 in Tehran, Iran. She was raised in the center of Iran, a small city named Kashan. She got her BA in Drama from Sooreh University in dramatic literature. She has taken many freelance classes in filmmaking including Film Directing with Asghar Farhadi, Cinematography with Hooman Behmanesh, Screenwriting with Shadmehr Rastin and Basic and Advanced Filmmaking with Shahram Mokri. “For the Second Time” is Leila Akhbari’s second short film. She also works as a Cinematographer and Still Photographer in professional films.
